Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster sitting pretty in Frankfurt [video]
Gullwing doors-free variant of the SLS AMG comes with the same 6.3 liter V8 as does the Gullwing version
Here's a live video from Frankfurt of the SLS AMG Roadster sitting quaint and idly at the Mercedes-Benz stand at the motor show there.
This is the gullwing doors-free variant of the SLS AMG which features the same power plant as the Gullwing variant - a 6.3-liter (6,208cc) V8 engine that produces 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

I am sure you know by now...this was the next generation Viper underdevelopment during Daimler-Chrysler...when Daimler bailed they took the Viper and upgraded in to MB clothes.

The SLS derived from Viper story is a fiction.

This car is down right sex on wheels , ie in siver. If I can fit in this car with the top up and it doesnt take a tow truck to get me out unlike the Gullwing, I am going to buy one. Silver/Black with all the carbon fiber, except for on the side mirrors, cause that would be tacky.Going to put an order in for one in the morn.
