2012 BMW 3-Series rendered 09.09.2011 / Bimmerpost.com

Rendering shows some unique features to the new front fascia that are expected in the next 3er

This rendering of the next-generation BMW 3er comes to us courtesy of Bimmerpost.com/F30post.com.

The rendering was influenced by the recent spotting of an undisguised 2012 3-Series at a photo shoot along with some input from BMW insider known as Scott26 who has seen the new 3-Series design.

We see the angel-eyes headlights which are becoming part of the new BMW design paradigm but on this 3-Series the headlamps flow right into the kidney grilles. This styling cue has been seen on some concept models but the 3er may turn out to be the first production model to feature.

Bimmerpost also reports that the F30 3-Series will likely be unveiled later this year and launch officially in Europe at the Geneva auto salon next March and go on sale in the United States in the spring.

Check out the source link for a full set of renderings in different colors.

Our thanks to Bimmerpost.com for use of this image.

if the guy who designed the E30 would have seen what the F30 looks like he would have committed suicide.

It's a shame that the new fleet of BMWs and Audis are all but undifferentiable to anyone except the people who read sites like this...

It doesn't matter that much if this is an official rendering or some website's best-guess attempt. BMW's are now so predictable. There would be little variance between 100 unofficial renderings and the real car. BMW is just out of creative gas in the styling department. Honda is now even more inspired. Soon BMW may even sink below Toyota in this area, wow and yuk.

A shrunken 5 series... Their not ugly, but on terms of personality, there's a very big lack of it! BMW and AUDI are in the same boat, their pushing to far their design language, every models are very similiar cars with different proportions...

No offense - but I would rather be patient and wait for official images. Third party renderings are often off the mark while spy shots offer little or no value to readers with what is often looked like a black amorphous lump on four wheels.

@Jerrry I agree with you. Often the ugly comments above will change drastically to positive when the real images come out / they grow seeing the designs in the real life. seriously a bunch of hypocrites. or probably they dont know whats good for themselves? sheesh. pity.

I wonder has BMW confirmed the US-market model will offer the new 240 bhp I-4 turbocharged engine?
