Will prowl the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

BMW has unveiled a new M5 safety car at the Indy MotoGP.

Essentially a mobile billboard, the car features traditional M livery, an Akropovic exhaust system, a K&W coilover suspension, Recaro seats and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Additional information hasn't been released yet, but the standard model has a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission which enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) or 305 km/h (190 mph) with M Driver's Package.
