Watch the Speed Demon hit 426 mph at Bonneville Speedweek [video]

Set a new Blown Fuel Streamliner record

RePlay XD has released a new video of the Speed Demon's record setting run at the Bonneville Salt Flats during Speedweek 2011.

Driven by George Poteet, the specially-built model hit a terminal velocity of 426.910 mph (687.045 km/h) and set a new Blown Fuel Streamliner record of 390.709 mph (628.785 km/h). This is pretty impressive considering the car is powered by a four-cylinder Mopar engine, albeit one that develops 1045 hp (779 kW / 790 PS) and 672 lb-ft (910 Nm) of torque.
