2012 Porsche 911 teased playing in the snow [video]

Could be revealed later this week

Porsche has released a second teaser video for the redesigned 911 (991).

Meant to highlight the car's development, the clip gives us a quick look at engineers testing the model in the Arctic Circle.

As we have previously reported, the 2012 Porsche 911 will be slightly larger and have an evolutionary design that is instantly recognizable. The entry-level model is slated to adopt a 3.4-liter engine with 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp). Moving up the Carrera S will net owners a 3.8-liter with 400 PS (294 kW / 395 hp), while the Turbo is rumored to have an output of approximately 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp).

Lastly, one of our sources is indicating the recent photo leak has prompted Porsche to move up the 911's introduction. Nothing is official, but we're told an announcement could come as soon as tomorrow.

Why they are hiding this car shapes if everyone knows how it will look since 2005?

True enough. Teasing it also pointless since the car has been leaked for several days now anyway. We will all have to pretend to be shocked when Porsche officially unveil it though. Practice your OMGs now people!

Note the date, December 2010, at the beginning of the video. I suspect they are purposely leaking the images and videos for the purpose of creating free advertising/marketing buzz around the release of the new model.

I don't care, since the turbo will come with a 550 hp I want to know how long it will take to lap the Nurbugring, then the GTR-911 timing war will start again.

the 911 turbo is Porsche's GT car, the GT2 and GT3 are track cars.
