Ferrari 458 Spider leaked?
Debuts in Frankfurt
The Ferrari 458 Spider has been rendered numerous times, but these are reportedly the first official images of the production model.
We cannot confirm their authenticity, but the pictures reveal an attractive convertible with a new decklid that is rumored to hide a folding metal roof.
Like the coupe, power will be provided by a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 PS (419 kW / 562 hp) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which should enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 3.5 seconds.
If the rumors are correct, European deliveries will occur shortly after the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Because it's a folding metal roof, not a soft top like the F430.

Sad that there will not be that cool engine cover. A folding hardtop on this car really was not necessary. Wouldn't it have been lighter too without a folding hard top. I think that's a mistake but still a great car but could have been better

I think Ferrari know what they are doing. They wouldn't put a folding hard top on to their premier, highest volume sports car if it was going to affect it's fundamental behaviour.

I call photoshop. Something doesn't look right about the engine cover. It's too Batman. Adam West/Michael Keaton style Batman.

It's not a photoshop. The same pictures have just been released officially.

Looks good for a drop top, I still would much rather the coupe. Better yet I rather the f40
