Lincoln MKZ concept for Detroit Auto Show - report
Based on the Ford Mondeo
The Lincoln MKZ is little more than a Ford Fusion with a nice interior, but that could soon be changing as the brand will preview the next-generation model at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.
Car and Driver is reporting the car will ride on a new platform that is shared with the Ford Mondeo. Additionally, the MKZ will adopt an evolutionary design which will hopefully look a little more elegant.
Engine options remain a bit of a mystery, but choices will likely include a turbocharged four-cylinder, a hybridized four-cylinder and a V6. Sadly, front-wheel drive will be standard but all-wheel drive should be optional.
