Shelby Supercars takes the Tuatara to Asia [video]

SSC Asia opens in Shanghai

Shelby Supercars has just opened its Asian distribution office in Shanghai, China, SSC Asia, and held an event there with its Tuatara supercar as the guest of honor.

On hand were company founder Jerod Shelby and Don Xu, who has been appointed president of SSC Asia.

Still no new details were made available for the car. But we do know that SSC claims it will make the Tuatara the fastest road-going production car in the world.

This car does look pretty nice in certain viewing angles. But for some odd reason it possesses this subtle lameness that makes it an overall ugly vehicle.

The canopy is it's only appealing element... besides the whole fast-as-hell factor.

You can only have road going cars when people actually buy your cars. SSC has to cling to "fastest" because it'll never be associated with the words "best", "reliable", "luxurious", "groundbreaking".
