Tesla Model X coming in 2013
Prototype will debut in December
During an earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed some new details about the Model X.
First and foremost, the executive confirmed plans to unveil a prototype of the seven-seat crossover in December. He added, "So far it's looking good, I don't think anything will cause an issue." Additional information is still limited, but the vehicle will be based on the Model S so expect a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor.
If everything goes according to plan, production will start in 2013 and Tesla will sell 15,000 units annually.

Models S is damn-good-looking-saloon, i think it's serious rival to Fisker Karma.

This story is about the future Model X crossover SUV not the Model S sedan. But yes supposedly the Model S sedan is due out by summer 2012
