Saab could drop 9-3 name - report
CEO reviewing designs for 9-2
Saab is still teetering on the financial abyss, but that hasn't stopped them from dreaming up new names for the redesigned 9-3.
Speaking with Automotive News, North American president Tim Colbeck said the next-generation model will be launched in early 2013 with "edgy" styling that evokes memories of the brand's historic models.Without going into detail, Colbeck suggested the car could adopt a retro-inspired name to help capitalize on the new design.
More interestingly, Colbeck revealed that CEO Victor Mueller is reviewing approximately five designs for the 9-2. As we have previously reported, the car could be launched in 2014 with a teardrop-shape that recalls the orginal model which was produced between 1949 and 1956.

It is good to see some good news from Saab, and hoped that they will receive badly-needed funding to keep themselves going.

SAAB has no choice but to change direction because to keep going the way GM sent them will lead to bankruptcy.
