Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins breaks Mt. Washington record [video]

Higgins did the 7.6 (12.23 km) mile hill-climb in under 6 minutes and 12 seconds in a WRX STI

Here's a video of Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins setting a new record for the Mt. Washington hill-climb.

The feat was accomplished on June 26, 2011 with a time of 6 minutes and 11.54 seconds on the 7.6 mile (12.23 km) uphill run to the tallest peak in the Northeast United States.

Higgins beat the previous record, set by Frank Sprongl in 1998, as well as an unofficial one set by Travis Pastrana last year.

The Vermont SportsCar-supplied Subaru WRX STI, with BFGoodrich RC01 rally tires, was the car Higgins used.
