German tuner aims to build a European Corvette with a retro-flavored styling

German tuner Endora-Cars has released these latest renderings of their upcoming SC-1, based on the Chevrolet Corvette. Thankfully, the rear wheel-well covers of the previous SC-1 renderings are gone.

The aim of the car is to build a European Corvette with a retro-flavored styling.

As Endora describes the SC-1 in the press release:

"The SC-1 picks up the looks and virtues of American and European Sports Cars built in the sixties through early seventies and skillfully reinterprets them for the present."

The SC-1 will come with a choice of three engines. First up is an entry-level variant powered by a 6.2-liter V8 that produces 436 PS (321 kW / 430 hp) and 424 lb-ft (574 Nm) of torque. The mid-range variant will come with a 7.0-liter V8 with 512 PS (377 kW / 505 hp) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque. Lastly, there's a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 developing 647 PS (476 kW / 638 hp) and 604 lb-ft (818 Nm) of torque.

One of the most excellent cardesigns I've ever seen. I really enjoy the contrasted paint, the american masculin proportions and the Jaguar and Honda (NSX) inspired frontend. These all fit this sportscar so well. Congratulations, you touched my heart!

I don't think they are going the right way in today's generation.

Looks nice actually. Powerful engines too. Still - doesn't look anything like a Corvette.

It's still just a weird-looking bloated Corvette with 2001-6 NSX headlights and an E-Type style single grille bar. Even the engines are straight out of the Vette with those numbers. Uninteresting.

thank you...someone here agrees with me. Cover up the grille and headlights, looks just like a Vette!

I agree. Looks weird. Like a bad consumer customization.

Not hating, but this car makes no business sense. Just buy you own Vette and customize it. Dreamers need to learn economics first, then find out what makes financial sense. Vette variants never have and never will.
