Only 50 units of the Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT will be made available in Germany

Hyundai Germany has announced the limited edition Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT for that market.

The Genesis Coupe GT was inspired by the Hyundai Schuhmann Motor Sport Team which raced a Genesis Coupe at the 24-hr endurance race at the Nürburgring in June.

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe GT comes with a 3.8 liter V6 with an output of 303 PS (223 kW / 299 bhp) and 361 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque. A quad-piped, stainless-steel exhaust is fitted too. 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) clocks in a 6.3 seconds and the car has a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).

The GT's suspension is lowered by 30 mm and comes with Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires wrapped around the 19-inch light-alloy OZ Ultraleggera rims in Matt Graphite Silver.

Only 50 units will be available for the series in Germany only.

Prices start at €41,990.

I think Hyundai has done a nice job with this car, but a hyper spastic halo version would help topple all of the lingering negative perceptions of the brand.

Oh yes. A Genesis coupe with a heavily reworked Equus V8, 1000dB + noise and American muscle car fans would wet their pants !

Is Hyunday being so conservative with their number as I expect this Genesis Coupe will make 0-100 in between 5.5 and 6 as well as a must 248km/h. Never drive it, by my brother who live in France said this car has the same presence as Supra in 90s, just the interior design is little too far behind TT, Z4 and SLK. Time to change too with outdated rear end design which surprisingly still remind me with old Hyundai Coupe
