AMS Alpha 12 Nissan R35 GT-R sets new record...for audacity [video]
1,300 HP car sets a new road-car record for the 60 mph to 130 mph (96.5 km/h to 209 km/h) acceleration
Last time this car did the 60 to 130 mph (96.5 km/h to 209 km/h) acceleration in 3.46 seconds.
This time, AMS Performance has clocked that time in at 3.34 seconds - which the tuner claims is a record for a road-going car.
The Nissan GT-R-based AMS Alpha 12 comes with a whopping 1,309 bhp (976 kW / 1327 PS) and 995 lb-ft (1347 Nm) of torque.
The American tuner also has a new quarter mile time of 8.975 seconds for the car, by which time it is going 169.49 mph ( 272.77 km/h).

tuned Audi S2 can do it in 9 sec, so what so cool about brand new nissan???? :D i can't see anything special here!!!

Any sportcar that is tuned car probably do it in 9sec. yet do you see any other person stepping up to the plate. no. either way its still a challenge to tune a car and pull off a run like that. Not many companies have the knowledge or the parts to do what AMS have done

what's the point of tuned new nissan witch do 1/4 mile in 8.97 sec if even tuned old S2 can do it in 9sec????

169 mph is not joke. A couple of GT-R's are going for the top spot. Switzer's R1K, AMS Alpha 12, and SPE's GT-R's.
