2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG spied with minimal camouflage
Inching closer to production
Our spies have snapped new pictures of the 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG.
Caught near the company's Nürburgring testing facility, the lightly camouflaged prototype has a revised grille, modified bumpers and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Other goodies include a sport-tuned suspension, beefier brakes and AMG wheels.
Power will likely be provided by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine with 525 PS (386 kW / 518 hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a seven-speed Speedshift MCT transmission, which should enable the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds.

Big MBZ guy, love the new motor, not feeling those low side skirts sort of looks like a minivan from the side.

Why would the ML 63 AMG, which had the same amount of power as a previous E 63 AMG, now produce less? In fact, considering the BMW X5 M is good for 408kW (555 PS), AMG cannot be expected to make anything less.

This vehicle looks as if it has the option "performance pack" with the red brake calipers. On the E-Class it produces 410kW (557hp) and 800Nm, which is more than enough power. Should do 0 -60 MPH in less than 4.7 secs.

Looks kinda yuck compared to the older AMG. Hope it looks better in the flesh
