2012 Audi S8 spied brake-testing with more details
Next-generation flagship S-line model showing a front fascia with a new air intake design
Here is the 2012 Audi S8 spied without any camouflage.
We get to see that front face for the first time here, as this Audi S8 prototype conducts testing while pulling a trailer in the European Alps.
That front fascia features new air intakes similar to the current A5 and upcoming A4 facelift.
At the back is a quad exhaust indicative of this flagship S-line model.
The Audi S8 will come with a Bentley-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces around 500 PS (368 kW / 493 bhp). Standard will be an eight-speed automatic gearbox and the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

From the angle of this main picture, I cannot tell the difference between the A7 & A8. Today I drove next to an A8 on the road and until it passed me, I thought it was the A7. Although, all brands have their design language stamped in all models, Audi has taken it to the level of almost identical twins.

This car (Well normal A8) definitely has a presence on road. I drove alongside one this morning and my eyes were on back-mirror more than the road ahead.

Indeed it was. Recently, I was at a Audi showroom taking a look and saw the A8 face-to-face. The limo looks stately in its showroom splendor.

Wonder why they're testing it pulling a trailer, did they like Top Gear's idea of using an S8 as a locomotive?

No better test for a car's brakes than when pulling (actually, being pushed by) a trailer. A trailer can also alter weight balance, so all four discs need to be in top shape for the car to effectively stop.

I used to like Audi's, but they are getting to the point of looking so alike that its boring.....simple, start off with a nice looking A4, then honey, just supersize 'em and call them A6, A7, A8. What a brilliant idea!!!!

Hope the kit will make the A8 look better. I thinks it's the ugliest Audi right now...after Q3!

every single Audi is different and they who not see it is only Audi haters or those who do not care any way...
Audi most beautiful cars on this planet :)

Audi...masters of the photocopy machine when it comes to design. Simply shrink/enlarge design and change model number to suit.

identical designs = no designer needed = no camouflage needed = great cost saving plan...

as if BMW or Mercedes would diversify their recently released cars much more, they are doing exactly the same as Audi.

"exactly the same" only Audi can claim that without misleading the public.

i don't know what u re trying to post here.. but when u see more and more complain about the same thing, there's got to be some level credibility.. when i first looked at the photo, i sincerely thought it's an old A8 from 10 years ago..

This and the phaeton have the similar disease. Too expensive and boring looking. I hope Jason statham switches to an m5. Now that would be cool.
