Ferrari 458 Italia engine assembly [video]
Watch Ferrari staff demonstrate the process of assembly for the 458 Italia's 4.5 liter V8 engine
Understand the meaning of hand-built.
This video shows the assembly process for the Ferrari 458 Italia's engine, made right at home at the company's facility in Maranello, Italy and with the staff wearing the appropriate surgical gloves. It is a delicate touch that is required, indeed.
The 458 Italia comes with a 4.5 liter V8 producing 570 PS (419 kW / 562 bhp) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque coupled to a dual-clutch, seven-speed gearbox.
The video is in Italian but features English subtitles.

the 458's flat crank 8 is one of the most erotic sounding engines on the market today.. right up there with LFA's howling V10, GT3rs' 6 cyl, and probly AMG's 6.2 V8..

That's all great, but to bad their quality and reliability sucks as does their service as this customer of Ferrari for years states
