2012 Toyota Camry brochure leaked?
Real or fake?
The 2012 Toyota Camry leaks continue as a new image, from a purported brochure, has hit the web.
We cannot confirm their authenticity, but a quick look at the headlights reveal they don't match the ones previously teased by Akio Toyoda. This raises from serious questions and seems to imply the images were artist renderings that have been misinterpreted for being legitimate. Of course, there's always a slim chance that this is a picture of the Camry Hybrid and it features a completely different front fascia and headlight design, but that's a bit of a stretch.
Regardless, the 2012 Camry will be unveiled this fall.

Looks real to me, and what a boring design! It looks obese and outdated.

It's not real, look at Akio's teaser and at the blurry vid with the Camry, it's obvious that it's not the same car as sown in the rendering. Also, aren't the clowns from Holiday Auto the ones who said that the FT-86 will get a full redesign by CALTY, and the whole world has bite their bait?

I guess the confusing thing here is, this is supposedly a leaked brochure of the new JDM Camry, and the current JDM Camry looks like the USDM Camry. Its The ASEAN/Taiwan/Chinese Camry that looks different since those share the styling of the Asutralian Toyota Aurion.

the American masses you mean. Because it's not a segment leader anywhere else in the world

hey Toyota, keep your designs this boring and Hyundai will keep bitchslapping you all the way to the bank!

How is Hyundai making anything more interesting ? It may be more European or more appealing but once you understand those tiny details from your usual routine I guess Toyota or in fact any Japanese car makers are still way ahead of the game. They just can't care less about how much "quality" the car "feels" like.

The highlights don't look like the ones in that teaser video, so I think it is fake. That other picture still looks better.

Other Mags are sying this is the Toyota Aurion. Essentially a V6 Version of Camry which has always had a slightly different look. Either way it's not enough of a style improvement as was desperately needed.

you might be right. Toyota has always produced 'sibling' cars... same overall look, chassis and mechanicals, but with a slight difference to charge a more upmarket price for one the versions... not to mention break up the monotony of their lineup, particularly at home in Japan, ex. the Corolla and Sprinter lineups of yesteryear

Well spotted... you could be right.
But, if it handles well I could forgive its bland looks.
I have high expectations of this new Toyota chief who is supposedly a car nut. Drives an Audi I hear...

It might be the real thing, but either way,IT'S NOT THE GAS-ONLY VERSION. Look closely at the front end photo,on the left fender there is a small tag, that would be the "Hybrid" tag.
So this may be the photo of the 2012 Camry Hybrid.
But it's not the gas model.

The gas model? Are they making an LPG version now? Oh u mean petroleum (petrol) version....got it :-D

this is not a brochure, this is a car magazine in Japan. They usually do their own design on how it might look like. they are usually close tho. But the face looks like the new avalon. I just saw it at the dealer. almost $40000 for toyota sedan? ridiculous.
