Cadillac CTS-V Coupe by Hennessey aims for 230 mph
Hennessey Twin-Turbo V1000 CTS-V Coupe - 26.7.2011

Runs from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds

Hennessey has unveiled a new performance package for the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.

Dubbed the V1000, the car features an aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit with a ventilated hood, a front splitter, a rear diffuser and aggressive side skirts. Other highlights include a lowered sport suspension, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes and a bespoke interior with premium leather upholstery and an Alcantara headliner.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 427 LS V8 which has been outfitted with high-flow cylinder heads, a new crankshaft, upgraded fuel injectors, an intercooler and a revised ECU. Thanks to these tweaks, the engine produces 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS) and 950 lb-ft (1,286 Nm) of torque. This will reportedly enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, run the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 230 mph (370 km/h).

Production will be limited to 12 units, but there's no word on pricing.

What a lame car, I don't want a tuned Cadillac unless it will do 235 MPH.

When we are going to see it racing against a 2008 GTR? Also Brabus E coupe can do 372 with 200 hp less

It is an american car. Americans always needed really big engines to produce a mediocre performance - 6.0 V8 to be able to produce 300hp WOW!

The design of this car is so unique it amazes me. It might not be the best looking but I would choose it over anything else. I wish it makes it over the Atlantic with a decent engine.

NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT! NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT! God damn, its good to see that wrong thinking getting ignored by manufacturers and tuners in the US.
