BMW 135i with 360hp ECU upgrade by Superchips 21.05.2010

Package includes a modest power boost of 20 PS (15 kW / 20 bhp) and 43 Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque

BMW USA has annouced it will be offering the same Performance Edition package on the 135i as it does for the 3-Series' 335i variant.

The package includes a Stage 1 power kit which provides a modest increase of 20 PS (15 kW / 20 bhp) and 43 Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque on the 3.0 liter inline-six unit. Total output comes in at 326 PS (240 kW / 322 bhp) on the Performance Edition-equipped 135i. Other features of the package include black kidney grilles and Performance Edition badging.

As on the 335i, the Performance Edition package is expected to be retrofit-able to any 135i coupe equipped with the Sport/M-Sport package.

Pricing for the 335i Performance Edition comes in at $550, so the same can be expected for the 135i, but full details will be announced in August.

Note: A standard BMW 135i is pictured and not the 135i Performance Edition.

This is like the shade between medium gray and dark gray. It looks like BMW is trying to find a way to get rid of the parts from BMW Performance that aren't selling.
