BMW USA releases a trio of viral videos to sell extended warranty [videos]
Videos hold to a theme of 'keep it natural' by urging customers to stay with BMW original parts and service
BMW USA has released a trio of viral promotional videos to sell its extended warranty program.
The videos all harp on a theme of "keeping your BMW as nature intended" while showcasing strange breeds of animals such as a zebra-horse.
BMW USA really wants all BMW drivers to use their pricey dealer services over your local I-can-fix-anything mechanic.

big time fail... all of them!
the last one is the worst... sure, lets show a non-BMW product taking people on safari. Brilliant!

Why not just sell it as standard with the car ?
Id rather see it as standard and pay the price, rather than pay for another extra (BMW's have alot of extras)

Extended Warranty's fantastic. I've got a 2008 530iA with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty + BMW Service Inclusive Ultimate, and in 3.5 years have never paid for anything except gas and tires. Done 92,000 kms and just today got a window regulator replaced for free! Complete peace of mind.

regulator failure on a 5 year old BMW?! Our 13 year old Mazda power windows still work flawlessly. Might be a petty niggle but I'd never buy a BMW... German Honda's I call them. Even if I get one for free, I still won't keep it

Who cares! I'm not keeping it beyond 5 years, or I'll extend the warranty. I've had Mazdas, Toyotas and Hondas. Boring to death. These little things won't change my mind about German cars.

Never said I dont like German cars... we've owned/own a few over the years. Would love a Mercedes, or even a VW CC... but not a BMW. Apart from their handling, they're probably more boring than all the brands you named. Can't really appreciate its only strong point while stuck in perpetual traffic congestion that is today's motoring. Not to mention beemer's shoddy build quality (have many examples to draw from, other than your broken regulator)

5 years for a window regulator is not that bad considering that both regulators on my dad's Nissan 350Z went out within the 1st year.
