2012 BMW M6 spied with less camouflage
Inching closer to production
Our spies have snapped new pictures of the 2012 BMW M6.
Caught on the streets of Munich, the prototype features an aggressive front fascia, revised side skirts and a modified rear bumper. Other features include a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking system and unique alloy wheels.
Like the M5, the M6 will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It will likely be paired to seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission which should enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4.5 seconds.

It will be good with having a choice of the M5 sedan or the M6 coupe convertible.

If just Merc do an AMG version of the E coupe with the 5.5L engine it will be a nice rival to the M6.

@Steven, please read the text: "which should enable the car to accelerate..." ! I only see a camouflaged M6 and you know that it is fatter and not faster than the old model??? You are a clairvoyant...

Last time I checked 0-100km/h in under 4.5 seconds was faster than the old V10 M6's 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds.
Remember BMW uses conservative figures. If the old M6 is capable of hitting 100km/h in only 4.2 seconds even if the manufacturer's figures say 4.6 seconds.
I'm guessing the new M6 can probably hit 100km/h in 4 seconds or less.

Looks brilliant. For some reason, so much better and more aggressive than the standard 6 series. Maybe it's that bootlid that is reminiscent of the old 6 series.
