Las Vegas restaurant Dal Toro Il Ristorante Italiano uses a logo very similar to the Lamborghini badge

Lamborghini is suing a Las Vegas restaurant and car showroom for copyright infringement.

The luxury supercar Italian automaker says the Dal Toro Il Ristorante Italiano, Dal Toro Exotic Car Showroom and Dal Toro Merchandise Gallery uses a logo very similar to Lamborghini's and tries to piggyback on the brand's luster. The carmaker filed a suit in a U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

Well, it looks like Lambo has a good case here. The 'Toro' (bull) logo is very similar to their own bull-badge and the concept of the restaurant and showroom seem to be trading on a distinct Lamborghini feel.

Have a look and compare the images published here yourself.

I don't think they can win the case because they are not serving in the food segment. Trademark laws are all clear about classes. But perheaps lambo's famousness can make a difference in the result.

This is not a case about what they are serving or not. This is a clear logo copyright infringement. They can sell cats for all Lambo cares, they still infringe on their copyright.

A closer look may reveal that the bull's head in their logo is almost identical to lambo's, so it's a zoom-in of the bull's head (have a look at lambo logo, jus the bull had), Not only is this a rip off, ut a rather cheeky one. That bein said, now it will b publicized, an more ppl will know abt. the restaurant... no publicity is bad publicity...

I also find this a bit strange. The restaurant used to be connected to the Lamborghini dealership in the Palazzo?with a great view into the showroom. The name of the restaurant made sense at the time. Lamborghini North America MUST have been aware of the restaurant's name. I know that the dealership has since changed hands and name, I wonder if they asked the restaurant to also change their name in light of the "separation."

I don't see it personally. The shape of the shield is common and seen in many coats of arms. In the Lambo badge is a complete bull, the restaurant shows just a bull's head. IMHO its a mountian out of a molehill.

Thumps down Lamborghini. I would expect more class from a world class company.
