De Tomaso Pantera headed to Frankfurt - report
Could have 600 hp
The Frankfurt Motor Show is shaping up to be a major event as a new report is indicating the De Tomaso Pantera will be one of the star attractions.
Set to feature Pininfarina styling, the newest Italian supercar will reportedly ride on an aluminum chassis and be powered by a GM-sourced V8 engine with 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS). Furthermore, Auto Bild says the model will weigh less than 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) which should ensure lively performance.
No word on pricing, but previous reports have indicated De Tomaso is planning to build 2,000 units annually.

I am drooling for this car. I loved the 1974 DeTomaso Pantera L and GT-5.
