Lotus Evora facelift coming to Frankfurt - report
Lotus Evora S - 8.7.2011

R variant also rumored

According to a recent report, Lotus will introduce an updated Evora at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Details are limited, but CEO Dany Bahar told Auto Express the model will be given 147 improvements and "the priority is to improve the quality." This likely means we can expect a new transmission, a sportier exhaust and a higher quality interior.

In related news, the Evora lineup is set to expand with a convertible and a high-performance variant that will reportedly adopt a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 with approximately 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS). Last but not least, there's also word that a plug-in hybrid variant could be launched within two years. Nothing is official, but the vehicle will reportedly have a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine and two electric motors that will enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and have CO2 emissions of 55 g/km.

Wow 400hp... for some reason I don't feel that this fits the Evora, or generally Lotus....

Time flew by so fast, that it is time to refresh the Evora. I hoped the reworked model would stylistically improve, including the use of higher-grade materials.
