Dacia Popster MPV spied for the first time in Southern Europe

Spy photographers in Southern Europe have captured first images of Dacia's upcoming fifth model.

Codenamed J92, the 7- or 8-seater MPV could be called "Popster". It is based on Nissan's B platform which also underpins the Nissan NV200 and could also serve as the basis for the next Renault Kangoo.

Potential market segment competitors include the Opel Zafira, Ford C-Max, Citroen C4 Picasso and even the Renault Scenic.

Production will take place at the Tangiers factory in Morocco with a market launch early next year. A utility version codenamed K67 will also come down the line.

The Popster is expected to cost less than €14,800 - €5000 less than its competitors mentioned above.
