Coming in 2013

FAST CAT JOY sounds like a brand of Chinese pet food, but those are actually rumored codenames for BMW's front-wheel drive vehicles.

According to Car Magazine, the FAST (Family Activity Sports Tourer) is a "dynamic people mover" that will be offered alongside a MINI van. The MPV will reportedly be launched in late 2013 and be available with all-wheel drive.

Next up, the CAT (Compact Activity Tourer) is slated to be based on the next-generation MINI Clubman. Additional information is limited, but previous reports have indicated the redesigned Clubman will be offered as a traditional five-door hatchback.

Lastly, the JOY (Compact Sports Commuter Concept) is rumored to be a city car that will be based on the production version of the MINI Rocketman concept.

I thought Ford and Vauxhall were the ordinary man car makers.........it seems saturation is the name of the game for the Bavarians, that or shear desperation. I remember when BMW's used to be aspirational to Mondeo man, they would be better off sticking with the blue oval, just as good to drive, far cheaper and by the latest reports, the more reliable.

Just as good to drive and more reliable? I doubt that. The new Focus isn't really that great and the Mondeo nice and comfortable. But Fords aren't more reliable than BMW's.
