Ferrari 599 successor chassis mule - 1.7.2011 / SB-Medien

Rumored to have 700 hp

Our spy photographers have caught an early development mule for the Ferrari 599 successor.

While the car is wearing a modified 599 GTO body, the production vehicle will look nothing like the prototype you see here. Instead, the mule was created to test the car's aluminum monocoque chassis which is reportedly derived from the Ferrari FF.

Previous reports suggest the car - dubbed the F152 - will use a 6.3-liter V12 engine with approximately 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS). It will send power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically locking rear differential.

The 599 successor is expected to be launched in late 2012 or early 2013.

A new Ferrari always means a new legend for me. I hope the exterior design will be as aggressive as the FF and 458 while the interior design is close to 458. Plus, a little more power would be much appreciated

I hope its as pretty as the 599 is...and hopefully the interior looks nothing like the 458, which quite frankly has a pretty impractical interior design.

Thanks! Was hoping to hear a musical symphony from under the hood of this new test horse but Ferrari seems to be keeping the lid on this one ...unfortunately. Good things come to those who wait I guess.

What about the Enzo successor?? I thought after the FF Ferrari would concentrate on that? 2011 is almost over and we haven't seen a prototype yet.
