Drag Race: BMW M3 ESS vs Audi RS6 Evotech - guess who wins?

We know there are a lot of Audi/BMW fans lurking in the halls of WCF so we thought it might be fun to post this video from Russian site Dragtimes.info.

In the white corner we have the Audi RS6 prepared by German tuner Evotech. Weighing in at 750hp the super saloon has the slight advantage of quattro all wheel drive, a sore point with many BMW fans which believe it to be heavy and cumbersome.

In the red corner, is the BMW M3 (E92) prepared by Arizona tuner ESS weighing in at 720hp - slightly less than the RS6 but with a weight advantage and hopefully a good reaction time/launch, it has a good chance of victory.

Let's get ready to ruummble.....

Very clear Audi had a head start...just watch as the video timer hits the 11th second..Furthermore, Drag racing like that is not an indication of which oen is faster..you have TWO different guys driving TWO cars..Get the Stig to drive each one seperate then you have more fair test..

Who said that M3 makes 720hp? ESS VT-625 kit is good for 550whp, that's not 720hp at crank.

Even if they started off the line at the same time the Audi would still win. That M3 is not 720hp more like 550 if anything! I take the Audi anyday. The M3 looks like a 323i with nice wheels.

I think we can all agree the the aud looks like a passat. Around a track or twisty road the M3 would, leave the nose heavy vw behind.

Lol dragtimes later admitted that they had made a mistake about the m3's power output, the brother here who said that 550whp is correct as the kit outputs 625HP as indicated in the name, there's other videos on dragtimes where we see rs6 tuned by mtm or evotech lose to the properly tuned and fair m3s. Reminds me of a decal that's famous among bm fanatics, "quattro is fur sissies"

as you can see clearly, the M3 driver was distracted by the official who walks up to the driver just before the take off........and the M3 driver is still rolling up his window when the Audi takes off. But anyways, the Audi looks pretty strong, but I reckon a restart would be fair.

Actually I quite like Mercedes-Benz. *ducks for cover* If I won the lottery and had an RS6 Avant (for some reason I always assume every RS6 I see is an Avant until I notice otherwise, probably just because high-speed estate cars are awesome), I'd put the V12 TDI engine from the flagship Q7 in it. Hey, it works in Forza 3.
