Lamborghini to build Estoque or LM00X - not both
Model could debut in 2013
The rumor mill is back in action as a new report is indicating Lamborghini will build the Estoque or LM00X, but not both.
According to Car and Driver, the company is considering both vehicles and is hoping to green-light one of them by October. If everything goes according to plan, the selected model will debut in 2013 - to celebrate Lamborghini's 50th anniversary - and be launched shortly thereafter.
More interestingly, the SUV reportedly has the edge because it wouldn't have any competitors. The Estoque, on the other hand, would have to battle the Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
So which car should Lambo build? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.

Estoque please, stunning beauty and even more so compared with her abomination of big brother..

A Tractor with scissor doors! LOL!!! But seriously, seeing as Lambo was born from a feud with Enzo then it has to be something that can piss Ferrari off. An Estoque on a Sesto Elemento diet? SUV would be hard with current design language but interesting.

Please make the Estoque. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful 4-door saloon. I don't believe the competition is a problem, I think it will make it very interesting. And don't forget: it will be fast... I mean properly fast! I think we've had enough of stupid SUV's

the Estoque concept is based on the Audi A8, but a production version would be based on the Panamera.

I would prefer the Estoque high-performance limo.
Though Lamborghini was born from a humble background making farmyard tractors, their brand has evolve into a premium sports car marque and has never look back since.
If they were to prefer to make a LM002 successor, I wished them all the best!

Well let's not forget that the main rivals are probably the Panamera Turbo and the Bentley Flying Spur, which are both all from the same family as the Lambo anyway so they're not really rivals. Just more money going into the massive VW Group pockets.
FWIW, i'd like to see the Estoque being made, but the SUV would be fantastic and would have heritage thanks to the LM002...

Oh the wonderfully successful LM002. It sold so well and picked up oh so many of the military contracts that it was vying for.

Lambo should do what Lambo does best and make something outrageous. an edgy turbocharged V12 monster based on the Cayenne.

they will lose money building the estoque.
they will rebody a cayenne with a V10 or V12 instead. this will also go in line with a bentley SUV in the future.

Build both...a hatchback...a bike...and anything where they can put their logo on; who doesn?t want something developed by Audi...I mean Lambo?

they actually have Lambo tractors, laptops, bicycles, lawn mowers, etc.

Neither please, I would hope Lambo could foxues on their core principles rather than money making adventures

Yeah, how I wished Lambo should heed your words. But that is how the world goes round. Like it or not, the raging bull needs to find alternative avenues to make profits.

I want them to pick the Estoque. There are enough prestige SUVs already (and most of them come from VW Group), plus there's room if they make the Estoque for a 2-door version to bring back the Espada. That would be awesome.

I will probably never afford anyone of these, but if I could I would definitely choose the Estoque... the LM model would probably be successful as Porsche proved it in the past but in my mind Lamborghini is connected to the supersport and quite exclusive cars, not SUV's... yet again, who knows what the future will bring on our "tables"...

On second thoughts... V12 SUV is a homage to Lambo roots and supercars. You can already fit a V12 in the Q7; throw in the Aventador 6.5L, but make the chasis from carbon fibre, shorten the back, give it a load bed and there you have it... 1.6 tonne V12 SUT (sport utility truck)!!

LMOOX please. There's heritage there, and now the market loves SUV's (whereas before it didn't). I feel an Estoque will age quickly and, similar to Aston Martin's Rapide, they won't actually sell any serious volumes. An SUV will bring in more revenue.

If the Estoque can be a sales hit like the Panamera, then there's a business case there, but the LM00X would be a great opportunity for Lamborghini to make the SUV brute more popular than the original LM002 and it would have a niche when it hits the global market, making it unique. Therefore, the Estoque could hit the skids because of ready competition whilst the LM00X races streets ahead.

ESTOQUE PLEASE! I hate luxury or high performance SUV's, for me its meaningless to build such thing. The Estoque is still a sports car with a luxurious interior and a room for 4 people to enjpy. There's no sporty feeling in driving SUV when your seating position is like seating in a dining table.
