BMW M5 N?rburgring taxi officially unveiled
0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds
BMW has officially unveiled the new M5 Nürburgring taxi at the M Festival in Germany.
While the car is decked out in unique livery, it is virtually identical to the standard model. This means power is provided by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 560 PS (412 kW / 552 hp) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed double-clutch transmission which enables the M5 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in 13.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph).

The tickets for the taxi aren't bad at all, I think they're around 150 euro, and the car fits 3 people. If you got 2 buddies you can split that price. Getting there however...

There lies the crux of the matter. I don't find the prices unfair either, but as with the Frankfurt/Paris/Geneva motorshows, the cost of travel, accommodation etc can be really high. I guess getting to the ring at off-peak times of year wouldn't be so bad.

nice. so ppl can savour the M5 on the ring before they hit the showroom and their driveways.

I welcomed the news with open arms. It would be an exhilarating ride for passengers and prospective car owners.

M5 I would want is that M5 CSL with V10 and 550hp...that was a proper M car! in this case here it just needs the 4WD and you have a 4door GT-R!

And 4WD must be same as ATTESSA-ETS, otherways it will be useless weight)))

I would like to see the M5 in front with the wing and lights, looks pretty tough, but I can't quite make it out.
