Series 17 of the popular BBC2 program Top Gear starts on Sunday June 26

The Top Gear boys are back, looking a little greyer but still behaving as adolescent as possible.

Here are some images previewing the upcoming 17th series of the famed BBC program Top Gear.

As usual, Clarkson, May and Hammond are headed to many exotic locales and doing some fun stunts with the likes of the Royal Marines.

In the first episode, Jeremy Clarkson holds a 50th birthday party for the Jaguar E-Type, Richard Hammond is in South Africa to test a new, massive off-roader, James May tries out the MINI rally car and it is legendary rocker Alice Cooper in the "star in a reasonably priced car" segment.

And is that Jeremy's new girlfriend-on-the-side with his name tattooed on her back?

The new season of Top Gear begins airing on BBC2 and BBC HD this Sunday June 26.

In the uk, 60+ million homes X ?145 TV license. How can they not have the buget. One time of day they use to do 9 - 12 eps but now it got so short.

Uhm yeah '60+ Million Homes x ?145'? Not really. First of all, not EVERY SINGLE Briton has a house, let alone a TV. And, the BBC has more than 1 programme to fund, it has to divide it between ALL its shows.

I'd rather 6 epic episodes than 12 episodes of varying quality. The thing is, they came to a point where they HAD to choose between show quality, number and frequency of seasons and cost/time dedicated to each show. Things aren't the same as they once were, the BBC has less money to spend for starters. You could say annually they air more than 6 shows. Also they have a live road show and 'specials'.

They should deffently have more esps, I want to see more reviews on more car to date, like the ford mondeo, mini cooper JW, BMW 5er GT, Ford Ka,Kuga, Volvos, Ferrari estate. Review cars like old Top Gear only a few season ago.
