e-Wolf Alpha-2 specifications released

0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds

e-Wolf has released preliminary specifications for the Alpha-2 (previously known as the E-2).

Set to be launched in 2012, the futuristic sports car will have two electric motors with a combined peak output of 381 PS (280 kW / 375 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This will enable the Alpha-2 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, hit a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph) and travel up to 300 km (186 miles) on a single charge.

Pricing is expected to start at €245.000 ($350,750) and pre-orders will be accepted shortly.

I know with electric cars, they can't have a very fast top speed. But when you see 143 it is just dissapointing. And with 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, it's like hard acceleration for 10 seconds, and then it all just stops. I would be sad if I was racing that car on the Vegas Strip.

Who cares what the top speed is. Most super cars are never taken to their top speed by their owners, and most people don't have enough skill to be driving that fast anyway. And if you were doing 143 you'd be braking the law, unless you were on the Autobahn but not all super car owners live in Germany. Acceleration is where the fun is anyway.

I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!! Seriously all you guys couldn't be more right. SUPER CAR for gods sake, who the hell cares that it burns Petrol; all this electric bull crap. if i had the money for a super car i wouldn't care if it ran on the finest whiskey. super car needs to be fast and EXCITING, not a complete copy of real Super cars and ......
