2013 Mercedes-Benz BLS spied for first time
Spy shots reveal completely new 4-door sedan/coupe, a baby CLS, based on the next-generation B-Class and due in 2013/2014
Here are the first spy shots available of the upcoming 2013 Mercedes Benz BLS - an entirely new 4-door coupe model.
The BLS will be a small, 4-door coupe, a baby CLS, but one that is front-wheel drive and based on the MFA platform shared with the upcoming next-generation A-Class and B-Class models.
The prototype we see here is dressed in a heavy camo but we can make out the basic contours of this compact sedan/coupe.
As this is basically a B-Class sedan, engine options will be shared with that sister model and include a 2.0 liter with 203 PS (149 kW / 200 bhp) and a 2.2 liter diesel with 172 PS (127 kW / 170 bhp).

If this ends up looking anything like the F800 concept, it'll sell like hot cakes.
Wonder if they'll do an AMG version?

Sounds interesting. Could be a good competitor to the VW Passat CC if they price it decently. My brother got a CC recently and am really amazed by everything about it. Might inspire more companies to do the same, there are alot of options for 4 dour coups in the $90K+ range, but nothing in the sub $50 range?

screw the passat cc, get an insignia/buick regal, costs less, features more...the only thing you can not find is the rearview camera, nothing else.

doesnt look quite as good as the cc tho does it.....therefore....it fails

Should replace that ugly CLC but I think it maybe smaller than VW CC since it's based on the upcoming A-class. Merc assaulting the small car market!

if the cls is as good as they say, why do they even bother to create a passat CC competitor?

I thought the C-coupe replaced the CLK. This should be the size of a Jetta not Passat.

The E-Class coupe replaced the CLK, the C-Class coupe replaced the CLC.
