Audi R8 GT spyder promo released [video]

Lightweight R8 GT Spyder has a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of just 3.8 seconds

Audi has released this promotional video for the new R8 GT Spyder.

The soft-top Spyder comes with a 5.2 liter FSI V10 power plant with an output of 412 kW (560 PS / 552 bhp) and 540 Nm (398.28 lb-ft) of torque. Curb weight is just 1,640 kg (3,616 lbs) - 85 kg less than on the R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro upon which it is based.

The car does the 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) sprint in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 317 km/h (196.97 mph).

The R8 GT Spyder will have a limited run of just 333 units.

Prices in Germany start at €207,800.

cool colour, cool car and probably the last german V10 car :(, cause V10s are another dying breed, they will most likely all be replaced with V8TTs soon.

I feel that the AudiR8 is a choice for those who want more aggressive styling than a porsche, but not so radical to the point one would buy a Lamborghini. All in all this car is magnificent. good job Audi, keep the dying breed strong.
