Gordan Murray envisions the Batmobile [video]
Debuts in Batman Live
Legendary automotive designer Gordan Murray has unveiled his vision for the Batmobile.
Set to debut in the upcoming production of Batman Live, the car has F1-inspired styling with a "breathable" carbon fiber body and illuminated wheels. Other fantasy touches include a carbon-ceramic afterburner, a radar jamming system and laser cannons.
No word on what motivates the prop, but Murray envisions the real thing would use a hydrogen fuel cell and lithium-ion batteries.
Batman Live kicks off on July 19th, in Manchester, and will tour venues around the United Kingdom.

but i like it when the batmobile has a huge flame coming out the back and its got a HUGE jet engine powering it :( -misses the 1989 batmobile-

if it's built like Murray's Caparo T1, you won't have to worry about flames coming out ;)

I prefer last Batmobile from Batman Begins - big badass sport tank with jet engine, not some electric piece of sh*t...

ps: also looks like this new batmobile would be a very tight fit for batman, and quite hard for him to get in and out of quickly :X

if you are bruce wayne, you would commission gordan murray / mclaren (!), or Horacio Pagani to build you a batmobile. well, may be one of the other supercar makers.

Bling bling Batmobile? looks fragile! Batmobile should be an SUV just like in the movie Batman begins.

that whole video crazy fire! Whether the first or the second video

I prefer the current allroad Batmobile. This one looks as if Batman wants to enter Le Mans and very fragile to catch Joker

besides it's crappy design why would batman want this car. where would it keep it's weaponry and ammo, gadgets and other batmanish stuff? maybe if the design would have been better, it would've served as a reception vehicle, u know, used by batman to apear at public events, being eco-friendly & stuff :))))))

No, it?s actually smart, the villains will start to ask WTF is that, and then to laugh a lot...giving Batman precious time to catch them.

Guys, his name is Gordon, not Gordan. I was living under the impression that his name is common knowledge among car enthusiasts.
On-topic: this looks awful!

C'mon Gordon (whatever your name is!)... a green Batmobile?...hhaha:))) I think you have lost the whole picture here! Gotham city is not a kind of green, 21st century city, infact Gotham city is full of crime and dark city...that's how Batman was born.
Watsup with the led wheels???...does the Batmobile ment to be camouflaged... what is that massive rear wings, with its weights and down force would probably tilt the car back!
So, please do not put this STUPid car in the next Batman movie bc it looks ridiculous!!! and it doesn't look any like a F1 car.
I like the fighter jet stile cockpit door...

oh yeah,, watsup with the steam comin' out of the jet engine... now it does not burn the bad guys but steam cleaning...hey? :)))

You people are sure very closed-minded. If U were Gordon's age, and designed a super-hero's car while on meth, what u think it would come out as?I say, good on gordie, now have some of that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and sort out X-men's plane design, with, perhaps a celery dispenser?
