Future Lamborghinis to be underpinned by Porsches - report
Estoque and LM00X slated for production
According to a recent report, Porsche will supply platforms for two upcoming Lamborghinis.
Auto Express says the next-generation Cayenne and Panamera will likely underpin the Estoque and LM002 successor (possibly called the LM00X). As one source puts it, "Lamborghini is entirely credible as an SUV maker, but it can't do it alone. And as Porsche has shown it already knows how to do it, it makes sense to work together."

This is a better match for Lamborghini than using Audi platforms

The Cayenne I is developed by VW and Porsche. It?s the same car than the Touareg. The V6 engine is a VW engine.

Was bound to happen with current VAG structure. But which platforms? Panamera will make the Estoque and i can live with that but the SUV is a no go, unless it comes with a rocket launcher in the back!!

Both new platforms will undoubtedly handle brilliantly. In fact, all that was ever needed to make both of these cars class leaders was an exterior that wasn't some form of 911.

Not surprised given Lamborghini and Porsche were under the VAG system, so there is bound to be a sharing of platforms and technologies for both brands. It is going to be interesting to see Lambo breaking new mould, in the form of a sedan (though the concept has existed since 2008). However as for the next-gen LM002, there is a precedent to it, so producing a SUV could be seen as way to earn more profits in exchange for more R&D dollars.

That?s how a 4-door-sportscar could look like. The Panamera is such an ugly car.
