Porsche Cajun to offer powerful diesel engine - report
Will likely produce 313 PS (230 kW / 309 hp) and 649 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque
Porsche has been pretty quiet about the upcoming Cajun (Cayenne Junior), but a new report is indicating the model will offer a powerful diesel engine.
According to Autocar, the crossover will adopt an Audi-sourced 3.0-liter V6 that develops 313 PS (230 kW / 309 hp) and 649 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. While the purists will still howl, the engine handily outperforms the current 3.0-liter V6 that produces 250 PS (184 kW / 247 hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.
The engine is slated to debut in the facelifted Audi Q5, so stay tuned for details.

It's a love it or hate it design, and I love it! 0-100 should be quite impressive?

I love it too. It's got an almost Masterati-like squat at the front...especially with the wide grill and angled headlights.

Ok they've convinced me, I'm really looking forward to this Cajun. Will I buy one? Never. But what an interesting ride! 2 Door SUV that will surely handle miraculously. And with a diesel as the strongest engine!? I hear It'll be in the A4 too...what a treat

If I am to buy a baby Porsche I want a baby engine not the same engine the Cayenne gets. So unless they offer a 2 liter why not go for the big car? Still ugly as the Cayenne. I was hoping for a more crisp design.

What are chances that the spy Audi Q5-RS from a few weeks ago was actually a Porsche test mule?

nice , healthy , hp and torque-rich engine . now if Porsche could just mate it to an intelligent drivetrain/traction control much like the equipment installed on the latest BMW X3s and would DELETE those monstrous air intakes , then its good to go . the Porsche 928 had a mighty V8 under its shapely engine bay that did not necessitate the use of cavernous portals in order to cool it. and ditto for those tacky headlamps...Porsche's front units had always been traditionally ROUND , ROUND ,and ALWAYS ROUND .
