2012 BMW 1-Series with the M package, 687, 6.6.2011

Launches in March

BMW has released the first pictures of the M Sport package for the 2012 1-Series.

Available in March, the model features an aggressive front fascia, a revised rear bumper and exclusive alloy wheels. Inside, there's a sport steering wheel, M-branded door sills and aluminum trim with blue accents.

Additional information will be announced closer to launch, but don't expect any major performance upgrades.

the design of the tail- and frontlights is horrible. the silhouette is kinda strange either, i can`t really tell if it?s a wagon or a hatchback.

Good Lord! It's even more ugly than the normal 1!!! I've the biggest Beemer fan alive, but this is just ugly. Those headlights......yuck!!!!!!

The headlights are too big, too low and placed to wide on the outside. The hood is too long, what makes the car look like a wagon. Wide front and slender tail. That?s also a fact, that makes the whole car look so unproportional. I don?t understand why BMW goes back to the designs without harmony. I?m afraid they could do the same mistake on the upcoming 3-series. Maybe it?s a strategy to make the 1-series extremely fugly to make the very fugly 3-series look better. VW and Audi will be grateful. ;)
