2012 Mosler Raptor announced
Has the Pagani Huayra in its sights
Mosler has released the first details about the 2012 Raptor.
Designed to battle the best supercars in the world, the car will be powered by a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS). While that doesn't sound terribly impressive, compared to its key rivals, the Raptor will only weigh 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg) which makes it 476 lbs (216 kg) lighter than the Pagani Huayra.
Additional information is limited, but Mosler's director of engineering told Automobile "It's going to blow your mind. It gets a massive injection of sex appeal -- in fact, I designed the nose after the face of the most beautiful, exotic woman I've ever seen."

7.0L twin turbo that ONLY makes 650 HP? My crappy Z06 makes 505hp out of 7.0L. I expect more from Mosler.

It looks striking but not beautiful as engineer says.
Also well balanced weight and useable power is more important than top end power.

"...in fact, I designed the nose after the face of the most beautiful, exotic woman I've ever seen."
If this thing ends up looking like a damn missile or the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile at least we can take comfort in knowing that it'll have a nice interior and a good brain.

So creativity and originality is not the theme anymore? All of these independent super car companies are making cars that look like others.....umm Saleen S7 with a hint Of Mclaren F1 in the mix? ridiculous.

Yep - Mosler had a car in the mid-90's called the Raptor - it was pecifically designed to race in the endurance series in the US and it was particularly distictive with its split windscreen.

I don't think he has a good taste in women. Goes well in a straight line, let's just see how it handles.

Imo, it looks like an old woman. Look at those wrinkles! Lol... Just joking! He should not have said that.

looks like the designer of this vehicle walked out of a frozen hyperbaric chamber from the 1980s.
