Aznom Abarth 500 gets sideways [video]

The ultimate hot hatch?

If you can't get enough of the Motore Centrale R230, here's your chance to see the car in action.

As we have previously reported, the R230 is based on the Fiat 500 Abarth and features a mid-mounted 1.4-liter engine that has been tuned to produce 230 PS (169 kW / 227 hp) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).

Yup, and just like the clio V6 before it, this seems to handle like a dead pig. Why did they name it Monza backwards, or was that unintentional?

Just because you can build a car like this doesn't necessarily mean you should..

after watching this video, i would blame the driver, not the car for the handling...

I was thinking the same. Too many variables to comment really...tyres, road surface, driver ability etc.
