MINI Roadster to feature manual top - report
Good news, bads news
According to a recent report, the MINI Roadster will feature a manual soft top.
While this is a tad disappointing, if true, it seems to make sense considering the manual roof will be easier to integrate into the Roadster's compact body. Furthermore, the traditional setup will be lighter than an automatic roof but we're willing to bet a few consumers would take the weight penalty for the extra convenience.
The MINI Roadster is expected to debut at the Frankfurt or Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for official details.

With one of those trick folding metal roofs, it'd need a trailer.

it's a roadster and let's keep it simple. the miata had a wonderfully simple manual roof and it is a simple and elegant design. if you want a metal roof with electrochromatic sunroof go for a SLK.

Imagine that you drive with open roof and it started raining. How much time will you spend to put the roof on? Your passenger, especially woman, won't like it

Yet another Mini!!!! I think BMW are missing a beat here, why not offer a Mini with wind up windows (another model) or a Mini with a manual aerial that you have to pull up............jees!
