Twin-turbo Ford GT goes up in flames in Texas [video]

Special 1,000 HP twin-turbo Ford GT in white-with-blue stripes livery by Dallas Performance catches fire

Here is a 1,000 horsepower twin-turbo Ford GT catching fire in a town near Dallas, Texas.

The car in question is the DP1000 Ford GT tuned by Dallas Performance and apparently belonging to or mostly driven by someone named Kumar. It is one of only two twin-turbo Ford GT exemplars in Texas painted white with the traditional Ford double blue racing stripes. The car carries a Texas license plate that says "F ENZO". Is that an ironic jab at Ferrari? Well, guess who's laughing now.

The video runs for a mere 55 seconds but the car must have caught fire before that and well, it doesn't really look like anyone is doing anything about it. The cars just keep driving past. You'd think those drivers wouldn't want their gas tank anywhere near this ferocious ball of flame.

Countless stock Ferrari's burn down all the time. Now one highly modified Ford GT catches fire and I'm sure they are just laughing!

Whoever wrote this article doesn't know their vocabulary. An exemplar would be an example which is exemplary. It is not a posh substitute word for example. Clearly this car isn't exemplary, as it has exploded.
