if u think the 911 gt2 driver was not aggressive, what with the ferrari driver driving so slow. I bet that ferrari is quiet fast but not like this.

GTR is fast as stink on start and Tshuchiya is the best of them all - perfect combination

Tshuchiya is one of the best driver in Japan but all these guys are racing drivers from JGTC. the Porsche driver mis-shifted couple of times and i think it shows how difficult it is to drive a traditional manual car upto the limit at the track against these high-tech paddle-shifter cars. GT-R is just unbelievable!!!

Indeed, the DK K. Tshuchiya is one of hte best drivers in the world. Hatori Naoki is also pretty famous. The rest of them are also racingcardrivers. Maybe not all as good, shiftmisses in a Porsche? I am pretty sure this is just for real! The GTR is an amazing machine, if they would only start to make nice interiors! Then it would be the best car in the world!

c?mon guys get serious... as capable a machine as it is, it?s evident the LFA was slowing down the 911 in the twisty bits. BTW the 911 started from way LAST on the grid and caught up to 2nd... how about releasing them side by side or on a time attack? Not to mention the mnissed shifts, thoug I guess it could have more to do with the car being LHD than being a manual transmission. Those guys could give Mr. Rohrl a call to ask for a couple of tips...

Hmmm... Japanese cars over-achieved and the other makes under-achieved. I think it's also important to understand that this is set up for entertainment purposes, not to see which car is actually fastest. Otherwise time trials would be appropriate. These drivers seem to be driving very conservatively and just for fun, IMHO.

Remember when the Datsun 240Z came out in the 1970's(now Nissian) how you bought a car that could compete with the best from Germany and Italy at 1/4 the cost.

Set up for entertainment? Thats a load of bull! Clearly you are not familiar with the show! Just check what Tshuchiya can do with the E60 M5! And check some Touge battles, then you know they can drive!

The LFA and Carrera GT are as close as one can get to the sound of an F1 car on the street. The sound is simply astonishing!

On that same test, where it can be seen on the youtube users other videos, they did a time attack as well with those cars and on the time attack the gt2 rs was quickest with 1.51 seconds where others including gtr were way slower. Tschuyia does drive awesome indeed incl. Hattori but some drivers like Ara are no where near the limits of the cars capabilities. Ara has had numerous crashes on best motoring and as we can see he can't drive a manual in the gt2 rs. Ferrari and zr1 drivers were also lifting the throttle. Another non-legitimate Best Motoring video has been released, making GTR win every battle that it comes across it's path and promote Nissan even further since LFA's are all soldout.

IF the porsche driver wasnt a retard, the godzilla had no chance. He mishifted more than 3 times, and still finished in 2nd place. It seemed like the driver was on a holiday cruise more than racing.

I think that Porsche, Ferrari and Corvette drivers are specially didn't put the pedal to the metal. If this event took part in Germany, Japans will hadn't any chances to win

The ZR1 driver seemed liked the only time he pushed the car was in the straights!!! He seemed to be on a warm up lap everywhere else.

Cant understand how this TV show disesteeming for brands like porsche , ferrari ... do they requre from us to say "WOOOOOW the GTR is a beast!, Japanese cars are the best" like many people unfortunately. I could accept the results if we substituted the GT2 RS with 911 Carrera S pdk . ZR1 with ZO6, f430 with 360 challenge stradale. but the LFA is sppuosed to be in front of the GTR "GODZILLA-lol". GT-R is great off the line as expected. But to be pulling away from the LF-A on the straights?! Bullshit!! Every Magazine has tested these two side by side and the LF-A always has the better 1/4mile and higher trap speed. Also, there was something seriously wrong with that LF-A and ZR-1 drivers. How many times did they miss the apex and overcook the corner?! This test was more about driver skill than the capabilities of the machinery.

I have to admit this video, like some other Best Motoring video seems to be rigged. But then again, it's sort of like Top gear. I for one don't blame the drivers. Drift King is clearly the best driver of the bunch (GTR). But Ara driving the GT2RS won LeMans a few years ago for Audi so I'm sure there's an explanation for the miss shifts. It's only a 3 laps race anyways. I'm not sure the Gt-R would be able to keep up the pace on a longer race.
