Ram developing minivan based pickup - report
Could be launched in late 2013
According to a recent report, Ram is developing an entry-level pickup based on the next-generation Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
While nothing is official, the model - dubbed the TR Ram Lifestyle Truck - would reportedly be built in Canada and compete against the Honda Ridgeline. Essentially a replacement for the Ram Dakota, the truck is envisioned as a fuel-efficient model for consumers who like the flexibility of a pickup but don't need gas guzzling engines and a massive towing capacity.
If the reports are correct, the new pickup could be launched in late 2013 or early 2014.

they need to beef it up, make it more aggressive without the ridiculous dodge snarl-it doesn't look like a truck. also some design cues from the MB Grand Cherokee would help.
They are likely making this model because they spent 1 billion on the minivan's platform and can't recoop costs.

So funny, before I read the article, just saw the pic, I thought dont we already have a truck like this called the Honda ridgeline. I do thinnk its kinda cool looking and if it could be cheaper, than honda and could pull up to say 4ooo pounds , then sign me up.

There are lots of rumors that the ridgeline is soon to be axed. If Honda can't sell this to their demographic, than how will Dodge, err-uh Ram, sell it to their "hey dude, does that thing have a hemi?" demographic. I wouldn't invest a dime in this venture.
