A total of seven hybrid Lexus LS 600h models will transport members of the royal family for the ceremonies

Here is a royal Lexus.

This special Lexus LS 600h L (hybrid, extended wheelbase) will serve as the official wedding car at the nuptials of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Ms. Charlene Wittstock which takes place Saturday July 2, 2011.

The car is one of seven hybrid LS 600h models that will be used to transport members of the royal family and other guests at the wedding party.

The car will take the newlyweds on their tour through the streets of Monaco after the ceremony and promises to operate in zero-emission electric mode for more than 85 percent of the parade.

Sure beats that old Aston Martin that William and Kate used at their royal shindig...in terms of emissions, that is.

Would be nice to know what cars were in the running. But well done Lexus all the same. Nice to see people stepping away from the norm.

This is bull sh**t. Since when the British Empire using Japanese cars for there royal weddings. I bet they told Prince Albert II that they will pay for the wadding as long as they can use Lexus. Aston Martin Rapide is a very appropriate car for British weddings. Why not used them?

Nice to see Lexus gaining luxe cred in Europe. In the Gulf that goal took only slightly longer to achieve than it did in the US. But in the Levant and North African parts of the Arab World they wait for Europe to grant its seal of approval. When you mention Lexus they say: "It's still Japanese". Is that supposed to be bad?

It's very strange how people still look down on Japanese products. Yet look in there homes and they have wall to wall Japanese stuff. So "IMHO" Good enough for the house but not for the car?? If it's on looks then that's a fair point. The German cars do look nice.
