Proof America and Sweden can work together

Saab may be limping from one Chinese suitor to the next, but what would have happened if the brand was originally bought by Chrysler instead of GM? Probably the same thing, but that's depressing so let's imagine they would have created this Viper-powered 9-3 SportCombi.

Built by a diehard fan, who accidently rolled his Viper, the so-called "Saab 9-3 SRT10 MegaPower" is about as custom as you can get. Designed from the ground up, the bespoke model rides on a strengthened chassis and features a unique suspension. While most of the mechanicals were borrowed from the Viper, the car retains a Swedish flare as the exterior and cabin are relatively stock.

No word on how the wagon performs, but the 8.4-liter V10 engine produces 600 hp (450 kW / 608 PS) and 560 lb-ft (760 Nm) of torque.

Sure is going to be a noisy drive with the road debris being sucked into the engine bay because there isn't a wheel well! Crazy car! I love it!!!

A unique (and attractive) mod combo! The Saab 9-3 SportCombi V10 would be a perfect competitor to the stock previous-gen Audi RS6 lamborghini-powered V10 Avant. It is certainly "drool-worthy!"

I'm loving this idea, if only Saab can come up with something out of the box like this they wouldn't have $ problems

That's such an impressive work. A compact Swedish wagon with an American truckengine developed by the Italian :D edit: the wheels of the car on the stage fit the Saab really better

That is one naked wheel right there. As far as I now the Viper engine is originally a modified truck aggregate, so I imagine that in the future we could see a rocket engined Mini or Fiat 500 :))

Thing could insipire Fiat-Chrysler to build next gen Alfa 159 with Viper engine or probably (more realisticly) Maserati/Ferrari 4.2/4.7 V8 and duel with trio Germans
