Audi Q5 RS first spy photos
Q5 RS prototype is sporting modifications typical of an RS variant - under the hood we suspect a dialed-up 3.0 liter TFSI

Really?? I can't see the appeal of this, considering Audi only make one RS model at a time ( - is this still the case now??) I'd say all that will do is deprive us of a proper RS model for however long it is in production for.

I don't think that's their policy anymore, aren't they currently producing thE RS3, RS5 and still the old RS6 avant?

The RS6 has stopped production, as has the TT-RS I think - only very few of them coming through that are already built, the RS3 has been unveiled but didn't think it has been fully released for deliveries yet which leaves the RS5?
It's a shame because the RS-models are amazing, I just can't see the point in this one, there's supposed to be an RS7 coming too - I'd rather see that brought forward than have a Q5 RS around.

They have more than one RS at the moment so I think thats changed. I agree that I don't really see the purpose here either but maybe they're wanting to compete with the Cayenne and new Jeep SRT8.

once now Audi racing LeMans with V6 TDI 3.7l and over 540PS, i think we will hear a lot about this engine(V6 TDI) in future in road cars with masive bhp :)

A small SUV with 400hp... I'm sorry, who is this car aimed for again?

Come one WCF seriously? Quad tips = 'S'
When's the last time Audi made an 'RS' without an 'S' coming before it.

My $$$'s on an S variant. RS version doesn't make sense IMO. Quad tips suggest S, not RS, and there really aren't any other clues (no silver mirrors, etc.)

This is an interesting discussion actually. I've been wondering what the point of the 'S' models are since there's more emphasis on RS versions now. This Q5 RS is a little too predictable and pointless in equal measure (especially without the 'S' variant preceding it). Reactive rather than proactive seems to be the norm at Audi recently.

The New Audi RS Q5 will be a 3.0 V6 TTDI (biturbo) 300 ps 8 speed gearbox, first RS car with diesel..
