2012 Audi S7 spied showing new details
A highly desirable alternative to the sea of German sameness
Our spy photographers have managed to catch several new pictures of the 2012 Audi S7.
Snapped wearing an RS-style front bumper, the "hot hatch" is coming into focus as a highly desirable - and practical - alternative to the sea of German sameness. Additional information is limited, but the car will feature a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking system and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
Under the hood, power will likely be provided by a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces upwards of 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS). Even more enticing, previous reports have indicated the RS7 could have 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS).
Regardless of the final specifications, the Audi S7 could be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

wow, looks fantastic, esp. with the aggressively modified front bumper.

Loving the front. Loving the colour. Makes you wonder if there will be both RS6 and RS7... I doubt it!

How you can classify this car as being something that's not part of the 'sea of german sameness' is beyond me. As far as I'm concerned, it's just another wave in that sea, albeit a vaguely attractive one. One thing's for sure, it' won't sound as good as anything with an AMG badge on the back.

This wagon with an ancient Lincoln's ass is ridiculous. It is not a coup?, it is a modern Frankenstein with a nice engine.

They've screwed it up by being heavy handed. The beautiful thing about the A7 is its proportions. From the front it looks/looked lean and sleek. This cow-catcher front end is simply sophomoric.

Audis are very generic nowadays. I have to concentrate to work out what model it is! Surely that is a bad thing right............

The front bumper looks like an after thought. It doesnt fit the car at all.

Now, more than ever, the front of the new 300 (chrysler), looks exactly like an Audi. Personally, I like this design (looks sexy in black, too), however, the back makes me think of a Honda civic sedan. Audi is moving towards a more 'chiseled' look, which is definitely a good thing, imo.
