The internet was set abuzz yesterday when several sites, us included, featured a video that was purported to be the 2012 De Tomaso Pantera. We had a funny feeling that we'd seen the car before, but now we know where.
Nearly four years ago, the same vehicle was caught by spy photographers who believed it was the 2009 Lotus Esprit. That assumption turned out to be incorrect, but it raises some serious questions about the authenticity of yesterday's footage.
So was it the Pantera, an early Lotus prototype or else all together? We're not sure, but the Pantera is slated to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
